Here's a question for you. Can one have a throwback Thursday when they're just shy of 11 weeks old? Well...this little girl can. I took these shots when she was just two weeks old. In her relatively short time here on Earth, 9 weeks ago probably does seem like a throwback.

I set Lila up in our bedroom. The window lets in the perfect amount of light over our bed in late afternoon. I've done other shoots in there, too, and am always happy with the results. I propped her up in her Boppy pillow draped with a white blanket. Our bedding is white and other neutral tones, so it made an easy backdrop.

This shot was my favorite. I used it on her birth announcement. She managed to throw her arm up behind her on her own. I was focusing on her face and didn't realize that's how she decided to pose.

Here's the runner up. Before she was born, I was determined to take her newborn photos myself. I got a new camera and lenses for Christmas. I purchased her cute headband and wrap as props. I was ready. Then came the c-section, no energy, no sleep, and just an overwhelming sense of not feeling like myself. Needless to say, I didn't take very many shots. I'm sure glad I at least got a couple that I love.
