It's amazing how a different color can change your mood. In our case, it was a spur of excitement when we saw a fresh coat of paint on our house. Let's be honest, I was probably more excited about paint than my husband.
I knew I wanted the exterior of our home painted white. Because it would cover the majority of the exterior, I needed something creamy, a touch darker and just the right amount of warmth to make sure it didn't look too stark. That was my husband's only request. Done, sir.
I decided on the tried and true Benjamin Moore White Dove for the exterior. I can hear the collective slow clap beginning.
Turns out, it is perfect, especially when you see it up next to the lovely shade of yellow that the Hardi boards arrive on site.
Stone will wrap the areas of the exterior that still have Tyvek. We'll have a dark shingle and a dark bronze metal over the porch and box window. I can't wait to see it all come together!
The creamy white exterior really makes the cedar posts pop off the front porch.
