This is the part I love the most. Finishes. Ahhhh. The client wanted something rustic, a lot of hunting lodge thrown in, but a good balance of southern class. I bring you the #luxelodge.
Floor & Decor is my favorite place. I walk in this store and I want to leave with all the samples. I picked a beautiful neutral hardwood for the majority of the home. In the bathrooms, we'll shake it up with a travertine tile on the floors and bring back the wood tones with this fun wood plank tile for the tub and shower surrounds. The pebblestone for the master shower floor has a hint of wood grain as well.
Jumping over to my favorite part of the house, the kitchen is the showstopper. My heart belongs to cement tile. I found a fun coordinating pattern and decided to place that just above the range and flank it with a pearl stacked stone for the rest of the backsplash. An iron range hood and pendant lanterns above the kitchen island bring a nice balance. I chose soapstone for the countertops, a timeless greige for the upper and lower cabinets and the island will be dressed with distressed reclaimed wood-I couldn't help myself.
Can't wait to see this space come to life!
