Smile for Momma.

I'll be the first to admit it. I haven't taken as many photos of our sweet daughter as I should. If you're not counting quick snaps with an iPhone. She's almost 4 months and I need more shots of her. But here's the deal...she has the sweetest smile and giggles... until you put a camera in front of her. Then she suddenly becomes stone cold Steve Austin.

The tiny human has been sleeping in her own room, in her big girl crib for the last couple of weeks. She's been thankfully sleeping through the night since she was about 9 weeks old. This morning, after a 5:30 a.m. wake-up call (new moms of the world take this as "all night" and rejoice) I put her in her bassinet next to me to sleep in a bit more. Around 9 a.m. (can I get a hooray!) she woke up and was full of smiles. I grabbed the camera and got a few shots.

I love this little girl to pieces. She's clearly working on her duck face/blue steel.

My favorite. On another note, tomorrow is my first mother's day. I've only had a membership to the motherhood club for a few short months. To be honest, instead of sitting back and dreaming about how I should celebrate my first special day, I thought to myself, "I gotta get my mom a bigger gift."
