The Great Mayo Trick.

I had to share this one. One of my newest interests, and time consumers has been the discovery of Pinterest. It's quite possibly the greatest invention for folks like me--those who love to browse through endless images of decorating ideas, craft projects, wardrobe updates...basically anything your little heart desires. Not only can you browse, but you can also collect your own images on "boards." It's truly amazing. While collecting ideas for my board entitled, "Why didn't I think of that?" I came across an unusual home remedy. Back story: prior to my move, I took time to painstakingly sand and stain an unfinished coffee table that had been sitting in my living room. Before, my lack of coasters never was an issue. But, I quickly gained a few water stain rings on my freshly stained coffee table.

So, here it is. A clever "pin" I came across claimed that an application of mayonnaise would remove all those unsightly water stains on wood furniture. Surely, that can't be true? Why, yes, yes it can.

Step 1: Apply mayo on the water ring. Go ahead. Spread it on like butter.

Step 2: Wait. The pin suggested at least four hours. In the meantime, you can cover it with a bowl. Just to make sure you don't rub your heel in mayo when you prop your feet up on the table.

Step 3: Wipe up the mayo with a damp rag. Voil√†! No PhotoShop voodoo. Why didn't I think of that? Since then, you'll be happy to know I ordered a set of these beauties in blue. Love them.
